I think the bear (and maybe others) would look better with bit less dark outlines.

You might want to use less pillow shading and non-pure-black outlines. The animated units have these problems. Other units look quite good except the animal head guy on levels 2&3 has too symmetric horns.

Below a quick sample on the hood for the unpillowing.

1. The black lines isolated on a background sprite card.
2. I version with shadows like more a matter of taste
3.Fixed, but there lvl0 - lvl2 :)

Good animations. :D
Just one thing: "Soldier_Marmo" turns during his attack animation around and you can see his back but on his way back he jumps back to the front too fast.

2. Yes, it is possible to add another frame, but in the game it will not be very noticeable

They are really good. :D
I just found one thing: The bow's and the crossbow's string is in wesnoth always in white and I thinnk it would look better doing it like this.

I just painted it on a transparent background. And white string was not visible :D
