Yeah - your attack animation is moving even less than my cut-and-slide crossbow attack, which is a bit mad.

Always bear in mind that when your unit is attacking, he will be sliding from one hex to another adjacent hex on the map.

Good Wesnoth animation makes the difference between a unit that slides 20 (or so) pixels diagonally, or lunges 20 pixels diagonally. Also remember that when you attack, you really put your body into it. So Sanguinus ( :roll: blood) is going to have to put their body into it as well. A good, decent Wesnoth animation also has six different frames of movement, whereas yours technically has one. (Yes, okay, some mainline sprites still use two-frame animations, but they move more than yours too)

Sorry if that sounded a bit harsh. Meh.

And by the way, generally, when a Wesnoth unit casts a spell, they do the "Moses parting the sea" thing (probably so that players actually notice it - I for one can't see the difference between your spell casting frame, and the baseframe).
