Well, I think the animation looks fine. Only the active element moving would be only the sword arm slashing. Right now, the animations moves a plenty: the legs, both arms, even the body and head go a little side-ways... What more would you want? That he winks, spits at the enemy and scratches his head with his third arm? (no offense intended, even if it may sound a bit aggressive, sorry) Anyway, maybe I am wrong on that, but to me it seems to move enough...

Hmmm....try doing that movement yourself. I find it sort of awkward. I find it much more natural to take a step forward when I slash with the sword. Maybe I'm wrong. Let's see how the animation turns out though.

Eep, go back a page and you'll see I posted the lv 2 Prinak... I'm "filling" the animation now, let's see how it'll turn out

The scar is a nice touch. With shadows, you should ask artisticdude. Anyhow, this is looking good.Monroid wrote:I think it's because it is still made out of "sticks", don't worry, he will twist his body to follow the motion of the swing
Here's lv 2 Prinak, I still need help with the shadows
(what about the scar? Does it stay or go? )

Well, if he advances from the Bladesman, then I'd be more than happy to edit it
(but if you want I'd do it anyways )
Oh, and here's the Lv 3 Prinak, I hope it isn't too overdone, and I edited the Lv 2 version because of the spears on the back, the banner on the main spear and the wolf's tail and all... well, I hope AD can help me with the shadows again

Looking great! Let's wait for artisticdude to transparentize the images.
And the Champion levels from the Impaler. The Bladesman does not level into anything. I just posted the sprite up so if anyone wants to edit it, they can.
EDIT: Whoa, typos

Cool. Very cool. Awesome, thanks!
Re: Promised Land | Goblin Campaign (1.8): Art Thread
Hey AD, I saw that the shadows of the units I made are rather lighter than the usual ones, I may know what's happened, I think that the color I used is already the product of the transparency
What did you make to do the Sage's shadow? Because it looks normal
And I'll post the animations, a larger goblin instigator (or hero if you want) because he is too short when compared to the lv 2 goblins, and also a pixel larger goblin shooter

Re: Promised Land | Goblin Campaign (1.8): Art Thread
They look lighter? Odd, I'll have to double check them, perhaps I messed something up somewhere along... I used the color select tool to grab the shadow color from one of the mainline units, and then slid the transparency slider to 40% for the eraser tool.
EDIT: I figured it out. I forgot that I'd left the transparency slider on 60% last time I used it. I'll upload the fixed ones in a bit.
