He's big. Nice =D

And yeah, TC trousers - the green would clash with some of the tc colours and look confusing.

Blam! Thanks for all the comments, here's a hopefully fixed version. Moving the head might have decreased the intimidation value slightly, but personally I can live with it. Enjoy.

Very, very nice. :D

These units are easily the best in the art workshop right now.

A necromancer dropped by and recovered me from my artistic death. Here's fana cultivate, a L2 leadership unit with an impressive piercing attack (9-4).

Is his attack based on the spike on the back of his banner? Nothing about him seems particularly deadly enough to have a strong attack.

Yes. The spike was originally a speartip on the top of the banner, but then I remembered tsi's halberd animation, and thought that a swing similar to that would look more powerful. I'm still open for the idea of a spear-type of attack, if the swing seems unfitting.

I can see what you are thinking, but my only thought is that a spike being swung followed by a cloth material is likely to snag a bit while a spear thrust might be better suited to a banner-bearing man.

A nice big metal spear tip on the top would emphasize how much damage he does too, or a thicker shaft.

Moving the spike to the top and thrusting it like a spear would probably be more apt, to be honest. Something like that wouldn't really have the weight behind it that you'd need for an overhead swing, I don't think. But I like the idea of a banner-bearer USING its banner to attack. It makes it so much easier to animate than the various other mainline banner-bearers, which tend to end up wearing them on the back because other ways are too awkward to animate.

The problem is that is unfeasible to "hit" with a banner, not only because well you are using the banner to signal things to the rest of troops, but its also a clumsy and heavy item usually and worse the leather/silk whatever of the flag is a variable weight that distorts the movement of the pole.

all in all, yeah you could swing that thing if they want, but it wouldn't be as effective as a "real weapon" ;)

I agree 100% with this comment. I can't believe I didn't notice this thread for so long.

Nice job on both the quality and the speed, Girgistian.

Nice to see you back on these folks again (gives me more reason than Kitty's and TSI's portraits to visit the forum ;) and not play the newly purchased Mount & Blade/GTA4/The Witcher).

Once again great work, nice use of the skull shoulder pad too ;).

...i totally didn't notice that. Very unobtrusive, which is rare for bone-themed stuff. Nicely done.

Neither me. Maybe should make more contrast to be more noticeable, yet equally unobtrusive?
It is ok to correct me if my English is too bad.
