Sheep unit
Hello ;
I've created a terrible unit : a SHEEP !
I've created some idle animation, icons and sound about this pretty animal !
Some animation, like death, needs probably more transitions for the moment
I've created it because i needed it for a little campaign i prepare, for some scenarios like saves sheeps, or protect flock, or win money by merchandising and so on ;
I don't create a special evolution, because wasn't my goal, like Black Sheep, or satyr (but satyr could better be an evilution of a goat, not really a sheep), but if somebody wants, no problem, of course !!!

Just one point : Probably the english description ; I think somebody could help me for a perfect english description ? (my campaign will be in french, so the first description was in french)
My sprites are also not perfect, but well, if somebody want upgrade it, no problem too !
the caracteristics :
Another point, i'm remember you can't create an adding unit, except by creating a campaign, so i compress all the files in my zip, but you must put every files in correct files :
sheep-explanation.png > in data\core\images\portraits\Other
All the .png in 'animation' > in data\core\images\units\monsters
Sheep.cfg > in data\core\units\monsters
charg.png > in core\images\attacks
All the .ogg in 'sound' > data\core\sounds
Of course, it's not a definitive unit, and i hope i'll have positive criticism about art, sound, and so on, of course, i can progress.

I think Wesnoth shouldn't have blood, but otherwise good death animation, I think. And good idea, I think.

For blood, i'm ok with you, and it's wrote in wesnoth philosophy, no problem about that, but i know a sea monster have blood when he die !

I think it's the tongue, if you're talking about the sea serpent. Anyway, I do'nt care about blood; I usually use it a LOT in everywhere (drawings, etc.) but I think most people do care about it... I'm not sure though.Corvus08 wrote:but i know a sea monster have blood when he die !

Yes, exactly, the sea serpent ! I don't care to the blood, too, and i'm ok with you to think most people, child include (with media, life, etc.), are like me and you ;
After this, i thing blood is avoid to have a child universe, a bit like mario's univers, and video game in general ; It's clean, that's all.

...Sorry if I said wrongly, I meant most people think blood should not be used... But anyway, I checked and the sea serpents "blood" really is a tongue like I thought. Ho great, yes, of course, you can use my sheep for your big era !!

About the tongue of the sea serpent, ok... but it looks like blood ! Hide it would be better...
I profite, i think you know how use the color team on unit ; I'd like use it eventually for eyes sheep, what do you think about that ? And so on, i was really impressive by your sprites on the frankestein units !

Yes, I think he said if there's enough blood to show up on a sprite, it would be a grotesque amount IRL or on a portrait.

Well, finally, i removed blood ;
And like i tought, i add a frame in death anim :

For behavior, i put good shift in mountains, it can more be use like scout ; But i must remove the [skirmisher] abilities, sheeps aren't very courageous...
In [ai], i will too add grouping and defensive behavior, it's the most logique
