Thanks, that's given me some things to think about. She'll be back.
As long as I'm here, I'll post this one, (same faction). It's not completely finished, but close.

Now going in a slightly different direction, I know the closer arm needs redraw in parts. The veil may seem a bit flat, but I think that is OK if it is not supposed to be shiny like silk. (I liked the purple things, and now the green is probably even more distracting anyway).

i like the cleaner look by doofus-01 better even if it violates some best practices.
the clothing and the necklace might need a few adjustments, though, it looks like the neck line of the dress is pointing a bit too much to her right, and the necklace is hanging almost as if it was hanging on a flat wall.
makes me think: 'what has happened to her?'

This started out as something else, but her arms seemed kind of big, and I'm not so happy with the "protector" portrait in Archaic Era, so this is to be the replacement. It's not finished, but the weekend is over. The grey stuff will be fine chain.

Her upper left arm seems unnaturally bent.

Yeah, that arm really was screwed up, thanks. I think it's fixed now.

I'm trying to fix up BMR, so am planning on replacing this:

with this (less cartoony):

I'm not quite finished, but I want to keep the armor dark. He is supposed to look sleep-deprived; his dead wife/queen won't leave him alone, so he can't sleep through the night and is starting to go insane (and that's making him a violent, haunted villain ... with dark armour).

Looks quite fitting with your description.

this goes for they're/their/there as well

I agree with Thrawn - he definitely looks weary. It's also a marked artistic improvement over the last version.

Thanks, guys.

I can't find the attachment of the cartoony version I'm replacing of this next one, but I'm not sure it matters much. It was from the same "style" of the previous old portrait.
EDIT: Actually, it's not that big a file, so here it is:

There was something wonky about this fellow's face as I was drawing it, but I think I got it cleared up. (I think.)

You have made great progress in art. Both in lineart and in inking.

Thanks Mefisto. This is hopefully the last time I redraw these.

To those few of you who care, of the images in the BMR portraits folder, I plan to replace tahn.png and vazzan.png. A couple of the others need some better shading, but those two really suck.

Belleros kinda looks like he's wearing a mouthguard to me, based on the posistion of his lips. Other than that, all of these look good. :)
Sorta on a break from the forums ATM, have been for a while. If I was doing something for/with you and I haven't recently, that's why, I will be back soon hopefully.

What is hanging from Athanta’s belt buckle? To me it looks like a slightly tapered glass canister with a metal bottom, containing a figurine of a torso.
