I suggest that you start your own thread, noctifero, rather than posting here. That said, this seems like a very nice unit. If it's a frankenstein, it's very well done. If not, it's also very well done =D

No, I have simply used the parts in the "frankenstein pack" and recolored them with PShop.
It was easy and funny, I like it very much, so I'm working on its level advancements (I think the one up here can be about level 2).

If you're going to recolour, might i suggest you do it using either a filter on a specific selection within the graphic, or using a single-pixel, hard-edged brush and picking the colours one by one in similar amounts of light/shade to those already present. Using a fuzzy-edged 3-pixel wide air/paintbrush tool results in blobby, unclear recolouring.
And please, PLEASE google for some information about, for example, alpha transparency and layers in Photoshop. It will help you IMMENSELY.

Tom,
Unit base frames have to stay inside the hex. Those bats wouldn't fit.
Also, the unit in the centre lacks detail and shading. As an experiment, why don't you try adding the detail and shading, by looking at other units (zoomed way in) and seeing how they do it?
P.S. You've created better unit sprites since your current avatar. Maybe it's time to upgrade the avatar?

It's a reasonably competent frankenstein. The opacity seems a little low, though, and please, PLEASE learn how to make transparent backgrounds...

PLEASE, don't crucify the guy just because of that. (Neoriceisgood comes to mind...)thespaceinvader wrote:It's a reasonably competent frankenstein. The opacity seems a little low, though, and please, PLEASE learn how to make transparent backgrounds...

However, neorice uses Paint for his work as i understand it, which is not capable of providing transparency. Photoshop is, and there's plenty of tutorials on google about how to do it.
