if you use the map editor, it should save it in ~/library/preferences/editor/maps.

...is where the map editor saves maps by default.

ok, thanks. Also, where are the icons for units and things?

icons? Please elaborate.

unit images are in wesnoth/images/units/
unit configs are in wesnoth/data/units

I mean the images, but i dont have either of those files, or i cant find them……
