Adding units from other eras to a campaign
I like playing add-on eras in multiplayer but I never advance the units far, so I wanted to make my own campaign with these units. It works fine when the units are Loyalists v Orcs but I can't work out how to add units OR portraits from the era I downloaded.

Re: Adding units from other eras to a campaign
You need to copy all the images of that unit and its advancements, and you need to copy files into "units" file in your campaign directory.
After that, just put in your recruit_list for side id of that unit (you can see it in unit files).

Re: Adding units from other eras to a campaign
Thank you. I was just wondering if there was another way to do it, as some downloadable campaigns have eras listed as dependencies so I assumed it was possible. I will use that, but I would prefer a more elegant solution.

Eras often add easy to to include them in campaign. Look how those campaigns do it.
Re: Adding units from other eras to a campaign
You shouldn't need to copy files from the era into your campaign; you should be able to reference files in the era's addon directory directly. Look in the era's _main.cfg. If you upload your campaign to the addon server, remember to declare the era as a dependency.
