Empty side.

So how to unempty side during game (wml, wesnoth v1.12.6)? Host set that one of sides is empty, but I would like to have it not empty to force game with 8 sides that have leaders and they can recruit? How to make it without creating oos in multiplayer game?

Lol... thats a bit crazy... no?
Do you maybe mean you want to create an add-on modification that would work this way?
The question looks a bit magical... maybe just for me?
You want:
1) Change controller of the side from nil into human...
2) Give control of this side to observer
3) Create from air a leader on one of the castles?
4) Give him money and stuff...
Is this correct? In theory we could try to make an add-on that would make it work..
But to the best of the best of my knowledge there is no built-in tools to make such a magic in multiplayer on the go.. without any external codes/add-ons.

Change null side to side controlled by ai. This was required for addon called "Champions" where you start with 4 battles 1vs1 (1-8) and winners goes to another 2 battlegrounds for battles that set 1-4 positions. Those who lost in 1st battle are teleported to battlegrounds and fight for 5-8. From 1-4 battlegrounds moves to 1-2 or 3-4, from 5-8 to 5-6 or 7-8.
But its no longer require to start with 8 sides, cause scenario can handle lower amount of sides. Some battles can be skipped if there is less players. Also it doesnt matter which side is empty.
