How to make fog in a scenario?

Self explanatory here, i though fog was a map editor thing. It does have a fog option at specials but its more like void so i don't think i trust it. Ive checked some base game maps with fog but they are just ordinary maps. Also checked wml in some scenarios and it says nothing of fog. So how do you do it?
