According to wikipedia article, Poludnica looks like a young woman dressed in white.

In some legends she carries a scythe and kills people, but in most legends people are killed by heat. "Technically" speaking she emits heat and victim's heart collapses.

In Wesnoth terms, I would make her lawful maybe also with illumination ability, heat attack (fire) with slow effect (victims become weak from the heat). Maybe she could have two levels, the higher level with scythe.

did you heard about Marcholt? it's some kind of undead, restless soul of evil peoples (or that ones who commited suicide) who comes out from the graves to scary people. sometimes he was throwing his own head to them :)
what do you think about undead with that kind of distance attack? it could be funny i think...
but his name "marcholt" is not very good, maybe just "corpse" or something....

More crimson than the blood that flows,
Lost in the depths of time,
I call upon thy name!

Damn... In this weekend, I will try to make some stats and at least part of these units playable as a faction, or at least sorted in some kind of tree.

With this units, many creeping biggerism has to be fought. :P

They´re good, but try to make the size about te same as other units. And try to give them a little bit (not too much) more shadings.
First read, then think. Read again, think again. And then post!

Since I am czech, I have some ideas from slavian legends, but to be honest, i am not sure if they are of any use - I have realised, at least for czech myths, that they are more about people than some fairy tale beings.
First one I am offering is the Hejkal ( do not know the word in english or polish) - the creature that frightens people in the forest by terrible sounds, it could have some type of sonic attack, without chance to react, if we trust in legends he was not powerfull fighter - just a bearer of fear. The second one is Divozenka - vila ( wild woman  ) with some type of charm attack - you know dancing in forest, sometimes spend a night with a mortal man, sometimes dance with him to the moment of his death of total exhaustion etc.
The third one is, IMHO, imported from hungarian myths, uncle Istvan, undead monk - who could not be hurt by normal weapon, just by fire or magic with lumberjacks axe. It is very closed to a being called Fext in the czech myths. These are not neccesarilly evil, they are just undead.
And finally vampires (and maybe werevolwes) are originally slavonic legends, I am sure at least about vampires. There are a really ancient tales about blood drinking beings, that can not cross the flowing water, could not go to your home unless you invite them and can be killed just by wooden bolt in the heart or by beheading. Do not let this Bram Stoker to steal it . Have a nice day.

It is my first post after a half a year pause, so do not be extremely rude on me please...
Just bored..

Uncle Istvan - though not slavonic he's more than nice example of what can be put in these 1000 AD myths.

Important question:
Kitajec does all these units for campaign, but I silently encourage him to make an era. Give your opinions on that subject, please.
