2 cultures of elves? When? Where? How? Why?Jetryl wrote:NICE GOING. This is exactly what we need to see around here - less pissing and whining, more sitting down and just doing the darn job.
Turin, you rock. I'd like to see these guys in the official game, someday shortly after 1.0, right alongside the high elves.
2 cultures of humans, 2 cultures of elves. Yes! It is happening.

It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

Both Haldric's people and the Wesfolk are said to have come from a mysterious continent farther west, are they not?
Perhaps the Lavinians and Marauders and Aragwaith and other as yet unfinished factions for the Imperial MP Era could be the inhabitants of that other continent -- and the People of Haldric, the Wesfolk, and the Lich-Lords were all run off their land by the expanding Lavinian Empire and its Nemidian allies....
Just as a suggestion for how they could fit into Wesnoth's world....

Just as i wanted to place them . Here, in this nice (full of war) continent to the West, the Empires can have a settlement, after kicking some Lich ass, it seems.Wiki wrote:Humans inhabit the distant West.
Haldric's people colonise the Green Isle from a continent further to the west.
The Lich-Lords arrive on the Green Isle after losing a war in the distant West.
Oh, yeah, a little doubt:
So the Orcs come from the distant West too?... that would be... interesting.Wiki wrote:The Lich-Lords sense they will be destroyed and open gates to the homeland of the Orcs in the West.
The Green Isle is overrun with Orcs.

That's where I said the Alkadians and Aragwaithi came from. The Wesfolk left it a undead-infested cesspool, so the remaining humans spent all their time fighting for their survival. It explains the militaristic Imperials, the mystic warrior Aragwathi, and the holy-semi-fanatical Alkadians.
This western continent sounds like an interesting place.
Edit: It's unofficial of course, and it's more up to szopen than me.

Maybe at first, but now they live just north of Wesnoth. The Old Continent is now inhabited only by humans.Cuyo Quiz wrote:So the Orcs come from the distant West too?... that would be... interesting.Wiki wrote:The Lich-Lords sense they will be destroyed and open gates to the homeland of the Orcs in the West.

So the humans exterminated every orc... yeah, that is the way they do it over there i suppose.
