Elfes faction

what about putting 3 different types of elfes?
- elfes of the woods (actual ones/neutral/ rebels)
- night elfes (chaotic/ alliance with humans)
- hight elfes (loyal/ alliance with humans)

I just thought of this idea because of one game, one book and because of wesnoth too.
the game which gave me the idea is: "world of warcraft";
and the book is: "lord of the rings".
even if "lord of the rings" or "world of warcraft" isn't good i just thought that we could pick up the idea and perform it in wesnoth.

Nice, but 2 of the 3 races you mentioned don't exist yet!

I've got lots of other ideas but i don't want to put the forums in a mess so i wait until one or two of my topics are completed or even thought about it.

Dark elves don't exist in Lord of the Rings, though. (Well, they do, but really they're identical to our current wood elves).

I support the high elves, but not the dark elves.

You just let Shadow make the dark elves using his nightelf style, then i guess you could endorse them too.

I am biased because i think that image kicks steriotypes ( spelling?).

I dindn't meant the dark elfes i only meant night elfes
they are same elfes but only they are power ful only in the night and when its night they can be hidden in the forest so that the ennemy can see them.
well if u don't like the night elfes then i'll think of others elfes.

How about you don't think of more elves? its not as if we need more. You could spend your time in more productive ways than thinking of ideas that will probably never be used.

The nightelf didn't look like he lived a life underground, but this is a discussion best left in the Dark Elves thread

Nightelfes don't live undergrounds, they live in the forest and they show themselves only when they have enough trust in persons.
( form a legend in world of warcraft )
what ever i just hope wesnoth's creators just create others type of elfes (look to the begining). well i just thought tha this idea of the high elfes where cool and next i thought of the night elfes.

Trust me everybody: i don't oblige "wesnoth" to insert nightelfes or highelfes but just give an idea.

The dark elfes aren't dark elfes they are: night elfes
and they aren't in lord of the rings because htey are in world of warcraft and lord of the rings never thought of night elfes or dark elfes... or what ever you like.

You are proposing night elves, but others have proposed dark elves.

I think that night elves would basically be identical to our current elves, and dark elves wouldn't fit into wesnoth.

the high elves look extrenly good. I think you would need to give some aditional weaknesses beside the no horsemn slowere level up. maybe a point or two less damage other wise they sound like they'd be overpowered for multiplayer.

Or we could just have a mix of them into the rebels, at least of high and wood elves.

Let the wood elves be the archers, the high elves be the fighters,etc.

Maybe the faction would be too small for that much ethnias...
