If you want to make a unit, you will almost surely need the following (in order of priority)
1. agreement
2. purpose
3. graphics
4. stats
If you had a purpose and good graphics (and the purpose for your unit was reasonable as well as fitting the Wesnoth philosophy) I would be willing to agree.
Make it a dwarf on a horse with lots of thin barrels, like a gatling gun. and have maybe a tube at the top which the dwarf fills it through, maybe have it like on a carriage being pulled by the dwarf.
Obviously he fills it with pebbles, otherwise how could he do so little damage?

I didn't even say it was a bad idea. I simply said that there have been quite a few modern-themed ideas from you lately.

25-10 is wimpy, any decent machine gun should do 25-40 at least.

It's because he's not arguing for his ideas. Probably also because everyone already discussed machine guns, and there are no new ideas here; and because people here aren't quite so polarized against human machine-gunners. After all, humans aren't the ones that tons of people have been suggesting to get all kinds of ridiculous technology.
