@TheScribe: Every meaning and every hint is helping me for my work. Without these, Battle for Westfront wouldnt be like it is today. :)

@Max97:
1. air units are planned for the future.
2. Special infantry is defintely coming in the "start unitpacks" of next two factions.
3. Field artillery is allready included: The wz.1897 gun from poland. More artillery will come.
4. Is necessary once the aircraft is released.

Tonight at 8.00pm (UTC/GMT+2) Sagez and I start a "Battle for Westfront" game. Who wants to play with us can join our Server with the same name like the era. :)

After many played games and reports from different players, I could face one big point that most of you dont like in "Battle for Westfront": the speed. I often heard its "to slow", its "to boring", "even longer than default Wesnoth" etc.
For all you folks that criticize this point of my era, your dreams come true. :wink:

Im working on the next patch that will change gameplay enormously.

Heres the changelog for Patch v.0.3:
- fixed animation for MG Gunner of german Reich (I deleted the animation folder accidentally in v. 0.2.2)
- all units got 1 additional movepoint
- the damage of all weapons is increased

I will playtest this patch and release it tomorrow. Please leave a comment if you like this or not and furthermore, what do you want for the future. :)

Regarding double-posting: It only really applies if the posts are within a short time-span of each other, not like Ruglud did.

Remember, I'm not a Mod/Admin/Dev.

The double-posting rule applies if there are two (or more) consecutive posts in a rather small amount of time (although this timespan is not objectively defined anywhere, so it is evaluated on a case-to-case-basis). It does not always apply, however, to working topics* if there is a good reason for double posting; such as announcing a new major version of an add-on. It's still better not to double-post (especially not within a few minutes), though.

* "working topics" here refers to your own working topics about the content you create.

The new version is great ; very attractive release for me! Now it is at least that fast as default wesnoth is, or maybe even a little faster. Gameplay seems to be more fun. Also sounds are delicious to hear! :) blang blang blang kaboom :twisted:
Keep up the good work, I'm waiting for the next release! A shame that not so many people know this Era already.

Two notes.
  1. Don't forget that Crendgrim mentioned it's sometimes okay to double-post.
  2. An alternative is to click the Edit button on your last post, select the entire contents of the posting field, and copy it. Then select the "Delete post" checkbox and click submit, and create a new post with the contents of your old post along with whatever you wanted to add.

Should be L6/40, as the L3/33 were the "tankettes". Also, you might want to check the field artillery's name. The italians definitely look interesting-what ability are the alpini going to have? Perhaps ambush, except one that only works in snow?
A shame that not so many people know this Era already.

Still great for two days though...

Also, in the game I tried, I couldn't tell if a unit had fired or not unless he hit. The miss anims are sort of miniscule... (I did have it muted at the time, so I don't know about what it sounded like)
