He's already said that they're only the very first drafts, and will change a lot. It'll take at least a month to balance them and perfect the sprites. He's also said he's going to do a few other factions, which will also take some time. I doubt the era will be out this weekend, it would be absurd to expect that from him.

I couldn't have said it any better, Kanzil. ^_^ But its only nearly right.
I will release the first ALPHA Version for 2 or 3 people. From these persons I expect some feedback about the playability, bugs and suggestions for new content or changes!
Who wants to help and report his meaning, bugs and impressions to me, write a PM. :)



NEWS:
- new portraits for all units!
- 14 new sounds (rifles, Tanks, explosions, Artillery) bring the 2. World War to Battle for Wesnoth. :P
- Balancing: the costs of the most polish units increased by 1

I just noticed this, but on the Uhlan and wz. 31 mortar, there are dots off to the right side, just to let you know...

Important for the Alphatesters:

The game is totaly changed from the original game! Dont compare it with other mods. Biggest changes in a little overview:
- only two kinds of resistence: impact and pierce. (Tankguns uses impact, Machineguns and rifles uses pierce)
- The units cant upgrade
- HPs like 50 for tanks are normal and for a reason!

Why are there no upgrades?

Is it on the addons server? Cause I'd be happy to try it out.
Sorta on a break from the forums ATM, have been for a while. If I was doing something for/with you and I haven't recently, that's why, I will be back soon hopefully.

Just a language note — "increased by a factor of 1" means you multiplied the cost by 1, which means it wasn't changed. (I'm assuming you just meant "increased by 1", which implies addition.) Generally speaking, the word "factor" implies multiplication or division. :)

I released only a alpha Version for 5 guys to find bugs etc. If you want to help, play the game and report me all your impressions, write me a PM.

- bugfixing:
Schütze-sprite is no longer unvisible
MG-Sounds for Panzer III and Panzer II improved

- sprites:
bigger sprites for wz.34 armoured car, wz.36 antitank-gun and wz.1897 howitzer
Pak36 sprite is more central

- balancing and new stuff:
wz.31 mortar: Damage is decreased by 1 (now 14-1) and use Marksman (a mortar shoot ballistic shells and ignore most terraintiles)
Uhlan: damage is now 8-1 (like the polish infantry, 6-2 before) and comes with the skill Charge (the character of the cavalry charge is now better converted to the game)
Sturm: MP damage is now 3-3 (4-3 before) and gets Charge
Leutnant and Porucznik: leadership added (2)
wz.1897: firststrike added
Pak36 and wz.36: added steadfast
PanzerIII and 7TP: flatdefence is now 50%

- added shooting animations for:
Panzer III
MG-34 Gunner
Panzer II
Pak 36
Wz.31
Wz.34
Wz.36
7TP
Wz.1897

Era looks very nice, but it will be more factions?
In these fractions, which are now missing my Air Force and Navy ...

Im actually working on the patch 0.1.1 and release it today.
Patchlog:
- shooting animations added: Leutnant, Krad, Schütze, Sturmsoldat, Porucznik, polish infantry, Uhlan
- better and bigger descriptions for nearly all units, especially the polish ones.

After this patch, I will start work on the next faction. This faction will be France. The french will use many tanks, for example the heavy Somua S-35. ^_^
