Oh, so close Powershot - there's still some mistakes. The good news is, they're *nix specific issues you won't have noticed for yourself.

When I load the era I get:

ERROR DETAILS:
Macro/file '~add-ons/ETW/factions/Gunners.cfg' is missing at ~add-ons/ETW/era.cfg:5 included from ~add-ons/ETW/_main.cfg:8

Code: Select all

{~add-ons/ETW/factions/Gunners.cfg}
in Era.cfg needs a capital F in factions.

However, once you've done this, you've got working, but invisible units. The problem here is you've used \ instead of /

All instances of fastes\whatever.png in your unit descriptions need changing to fastes/whatever.png

@GMA: Could you drop that habit of asking people "what's it" instead of checking things out yourself?
Just download it. (Or read some posts back, to know what's in it).

@Shinobody: Well I'm sorta on my non-Wesnoth computer (gasp). I'm sorry for not living up to your expectations and getting a clearer understanding of a certain topic.

In all fairness I have been following this thread for a while, and got a little lost along the way (what with the 10 or so name changes in it's short existance). I apologize to powershot for wanting to know the details behind his era.

Another bug in Rebel.cfg

You can't have spaces in file names. This makes the level 2 invisible.

Played a few games, and it's actually quite an interesting race so far. Despite their high defence, and potentially high damage, they're still quite fragile.

You desperately need a melee unit of some kind though. It's risky to take on a mage, adept, most elves or a drake with just one shot in ranged, and you do next to no damage in melee.

BaBoom! The Heavy unit is now added and the add-on is updated to 0.2.5, Hooray!

Will do torcher and mage tommorow.

This new unit is massively overpowered against undead.

I've beaten an entire undead side on Auction X using just one volunteer militia with only slightly above average luck.

He's also not as useful against mages as I'd hoped...but I'd need to play a bit more before I'm sure about the balancing there.

Some things you could change:

- Change his club for a sword and give him blade instead of impact
- Lower his number of strikes by one
- Lower his terrain defence so they can actually hit him
- Lower his resistance to cold making him vulnerable to adepts

Of course, it's up to you these are just things to look at.

What about pierce? I would like to use pierce because of their sharp clubs.

Attacks will be lowered and 7*2 for lvl1

I will change his cold defense

Instead of terrain defense will lower his health.

DO you think that will do?
