Would it be possible to get this era at 1.9.x add-ond servers?

Long time passed since last news, but now a shortie:

PYR Armageddon is out for 1.10!

Details later - until that happens, please read the changelog.txt in the directory of the era.

Duh, i forgot to doublecheck the era, because i was in a hurry, but recently i encountered the bats having 60% on flat villages. How lame.

Please do not play with this pile of trash until i find a solution for the problem. Patch is coming soon.

Thank you.

Is it "soon" already? Ha-ha-ha.

Random events at the university weren't in the favor of the era, and didn't help either that i fed up with trying revert a half-baked modification... the slow loading of the game, the futile trials, or when i realized Naga Fighter is also affected by the 1.10 defense calculation for mixed terrains... therefore, even when i had time for wesnoth, i rather spent that time creating a new multiplayer ladder map, which hopefully will get its way to the RMP/RBY soon and become public.

Now it's time to take things back into my hand and solve that bat crisis ASAP. Wish me luck and patience, because i will need them.

EDIT: Finally it's done! Download 1.3.1 and enjoy your balanced bat! Also, more updates coming soon.

A brief message to everyone:

Soon a tournament in this era will start on the official forum! Can't say anything for sure, but registration may start on next week! Keep an eye on this thread, you'll know when it's the time! Until then, practice for the great event unlikely than any previous, think of insane recruit lists, and have a lot of fun with it before you'll have even more fun!

1.11 development branch of Wesnoth is out - and to celebrate it in my own way, right from the first day of its publicity, i offer you a fresh PYRA version for both stable and development! Enjoy!

However, mind that PYRA with Wesnoth version 1.11.0 is barely tested, and may not be bug-free. If you notice something, please share and report it! Although my hopes are high that you do not have to. ^_^

Okay, one thing to mention about picking your recruits.

Could it be possible to remove the unit from the recruit list once you've recruited it on the first turn? Cause I selected Elvish Shaman and I could still select it afterward. (this would also make the ai better in that respect)
Sorta on a break from the forums ATM, have been for a while. If I was doing something for/with you and I haven't recently, that's why, I will be back soon hopefully.

No way! It removes chosen unit.

Give me a detailed error description, please. Which map? Standard or extended? Tell anything you feel relevant. I heard once cpu recruiting only ulfs, which shocked me, because while i do not really give any support to cpu play, from previous observations i would expect it having at least as many chosen recruits as the tiles of the castle.

I would strongly recommend returning the skeleton axe to 15 gold or at least 16 gold cost. At the current 17 gold price it is as far as I can tell useless. Sure it has great resists in some areas, but it only has 7-3 damage with no chance of strong (so spearman is a better deal for damage output), only 5 movement with no specials or chance of quick and only 34 hp. In addition it still has its glaring weaknesses to fire, arcane, and impact. Recruiting pure grunts could beat them and they are supposed to be good against standard weapon troops. I also see no reason for the increase in cost for the wose. I am certainly not that experienced, but I have never seen someone win by spamming woses and I always found them just barely worth the cost even before the increase.

I'm not sure which one, but after checking again it does exactly what it's supposed to.

Actually, it might have been some confusion over the desert shaman and the elvish shaman...

You are making many generalisation based on your default gaming experiences, amongst which the funniest is the grunt spam beating skeletons.
And nobody asked you to spam woses. It is a deadly tomato surprise unit, instead. In default, wose fail because someone put them in a faction specialised in sitting in forests, so when you face rebels, every empty forest hex is blatantly obvious. Now can you predict the wose in PYRA? No, only if you are counting units and opponent give away the information by recruiting everything else, so you can see a hole of twenty-few gold, but that is not what wose users do. Bang, 13-2 impact in your face.

On the contrary. I have seen a grunt rush beat a skele spam when the skele's only costed 15 gold with PYR era. Given, the players skill level was certainly not equal, but it was still an easy victory on the part of the grunt user. If you want a replay I will be happy to produce one. As for the wose, you may very well be correct as I guess they are a specialty troop not a line troop, but the skele is meant to be a basic foot troop like the spear, grunt, elvish fighter, etc and with the significant increase in cost it is no longer viable for such a position.

It is pretty self-explanatory from here...
Produce that replay with caution within a tournament match. 8)

One thing to mention, is that the Walking Corpse pretty much loses all usefullness at 10 gold. What was the reason for raising it?
