indeterminated era - ageless era2

Post by fog_of_gold »

This era is just like the ageless era but with other features. This era is very interesting in singlelplayer and a little bit buggy in multiplayer. You need to know what eras and factions the others have installed to not choose a faction they have. However, this era has mainly only good features:
-always up-to-date
-flexible: you can decide the eras you want to have and the eras you do not want to have
-small -> no help spaming and fast download
-you can add your own faction on your own
-rarly to no apperance of new bugs
-a rare need of updating this era

And you all can help me by just saying which eras do you like to have included. There are no rules for BfW v0.1.9. In BfW v0.1.8 I want to have two votes. However, be sure that the era is on the add-on server. If you want to suggest another sort of era (e.g. rpg-era) and there are enough people agreeing, I'll add that, too.

Yay, newton1 doesn't have Mercenaries in his era hehehe.

Another idea, try to keep always updated myths atleast, it's now my favorite era :Awesome:. I would like to more persons play it. And use Arawaight from Extended era and not from feudal era, Extended Era haves a more balanced Arawaights.

You proparly didn't understand me: I don't need to up-date this era since this era autoupdates itself.

I just want to be sure I understood you two. We have:
mercanaries: 2 votes
Extended era: 1 vote

And BTW, I think 2 votes are pretty enough, so I'll include the mercanaries era now and the extended era if there's another one who want this era.

I just uploaded the first version(1.8).

can we vote a) for factions and b) multiple times?
If so I would like to vote for the Yokai and Steelhive factions.

Sorry, if I download the indeterminated era, to use the factions I must have downloaded:
EOM
EOMa
mercenaries
or they are included in the indeterminated era and I don't have to download them separately?
Favourite Eras: Ageless Era; Eastern Europe at War.
Favourite MP Map: Creep War.

You need to download these eras to play them in this era.

I'd vote against adding steelhive, as they are very unbalanced, and vote for the nightmares of meloean and the arathropiae (they're both somewhat balanced, interesting factions, but neither are very popular)

I'll cast a vote for the Nightmares as well.

Updated era and 1st post.
For the steelhive, I'm not sure if I'm able to allow to vote against something since you needn't download a faction or era if you do not want them. But I can't include this faction anyway since its events are included by the era and not by the unit making it impossible to me to add them.
Edit: And since you can't download the Yokai, you can't play them in this era. So I remove them, too.

Thanks for bug report. Unfortunatly, I can't see what's going wrong. Did you started wesnoth again since you got this error? Your stderr.txt(in the wesnoth folder) could properly help me, if it's the latest one.

Sorry for double post, but there are important things to say. I misunderstood the bug report of BfW and I know now, it's pointing to the random_side macro and it's also not working in 1.9, I just copied and pasted it into my file "default".
I uploaded 0.0.3.
By the way, for 1.9, I'm going to include every mentioned era here and some of my own wishes since I'm able to not spam the stderr.txt files.

Purely theoretically, if I was to start maintaining them again, would they be allowed to be put into the era?

I downloaded the updated version and still got an error, but I think it was a different one.

I have version 1.8 and couldn't find my stderr.txt.
