5.3.5 released.
Re: 18th Century Warfare Era 5.3.5
I installed this Adon and tried to play it with a friend.
everthing worked fine and we liked it very much, till he tried to level up a conscript infantry
then a messeage pops up:
and the game crashes.
what can we do to keep on playing this match?
is this bug known?
is there a possibility to patch this?
thanks in advance

I wish someone would have told me earlier, it's been 15 days since I released that bugged version.
Anyway, 5.4.0 released, I just uploaded a new version with the bug fix, among other changes.
Also, I updated the pictures in the first page.
Re: 18th Century Warfare Era 5.4.0
Thank you very much, this was fast
But i realized you did cut out the spezial forces, is that true?
It seems so, cause when i tried to load our savegame a message pops up wich says:
Then i started a new game to test it and saw there are no more Gurkhas.
They also disareared on this page:
http://units.wesnoth.org/1.8/de_DE/PSRM ... rfare.html
did you want to do that?
is there a possibility to keep on playing our savegame or do we have to start a new game?

Re: 18th Century Warfare Era 5.4.0
They are longer around, as it says in the change log.
Gauchos, Mamelukes and Gurkhas are gone as recruitable/advanceable units, they were too specific of certain countries and cultures. So in order to make the the factions a little more standard, I took them out.
They are still within the era data, but not in-game.
And yea, you'll have to start a new game.

There is a way to embark troops on a ship and transport them?

No, you are supposed to use your naval units to capture castle by the shore and move your leader there to recruit units.MattDakka wrote:There is a way to embark troops on a ship and transport them?
I'll release a version with a bug fix sometime today.
Re: 18th Century Warfare Era 5.7.5
I'm trying to conquer the coast cities with ships, but I can't.
Maybe I'm missing out something?

Re: 18th Century Warfare Era 5.8.5
The method is the following:MattDakka wrote:I'm trying to conquer the coast cities with ships, but I can't.
Maybe I'm missing out something?
1-You recruit a ship.
2-Use the ship to kill any enemy units standing on any coastal castle.
3-Move your leader to that castle keep and recruit units.
5.8.5 released

I don't know if you still want/need it but I found a way to get the transports to work and I told you I'd tell you when I did.
