Really sorry. Can't help myself there...

It's just that the Eagle warrior... looks so much like a parrot.

Anyway, I'd suggest making him look more predator-y, reducing the beak size and making it look sharper would be a good idea. Also, that green crest on the head might need some re-doing.

Image

That bird looks much more eagle-like, and while I know that Eagle warrior is supposed to be a man in an eagle-like costume, may I suggest making him closer to the eagle in above pic?

Yes I agree with you, I have also noted that it looks more like a Chicken Warrior not an Eagle Warrior :'( ...

I will try hard, thanks for the picture example, I think also the colors affect, it's too much orange. Maybe that change things a little.

As Ranger M said the human eye hates straight lines, it would be easy to tilt the club, etc.
And I think that you could define the edges more, anyone is welcome to contradict me
And I think most units face slightly forward

I think the names are the same, but what else I have? Jaguar Knight? I don't like it, cause in spanish Knight -> Caballero, and caballero has the meaning of caballo. Caballo -> Horse. Caballero -> A warrior riding a horse. And mexicas never used horses. I repeat, this applies to spanish.

And for the graphics, I think they are not equals. I was basing in "codices"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaguar_warrior, not in the Micros... AoE.

Also, the idea of the faction will be very different that the ones in that game.

Same graphics? Not hardly. And same name? Oh noes! We have a knight, just like AoE! And Warcraft! Oh noes!

Another try:

I think I have forgotten to say his characteristics (some are a little obvious :P):

-it's a human wearing a cotton armor with eagle feathers.
-it must have a helmet with a eagle form (not real cause eagles are not too big)
-his spear is made from wooden, and haves obsidian inlaid.
-the shield is made from wooden and covered with feathers.

Obsidian is sharper that steel, but looses his edge fast.

Note: I have colored the background, to be more easy to see the white colors.

hm, the spear looks too chopy. meaning it looks like you took bits of wood
and put them together.

you might want to make the spear stand strait up

but other than that it looks good.

It looks good!

But I think we must tilt the spear only a little.
Cause as traverser say the human eye hates straight lines.

Or maybe we play with some shadows in one side of the spear, or with an outline.

Mountain Heart, the Aztec fighter
Tepeyolotl

Only the bravest and strongest warriors can aspire to become Mountain Hearts, the elite troops of the army of Tezcatlipoca.

In order to prove that they are worthy of this honor they are put under a brutal training of which few can survive; they are tied to a stone and forced to fight with an increasing number of enemies, whereas their only food are the hearts of the defeated enemies. Its final test consists of facing a Jaguar, to which, if they manage to kill it, they take the skin of him and they place it in his shoulders, like a symbol of which they have acquired the spirit, the force and the ferocity of that animal.

A Mountain Heart is one of the more powerful soldiers than exist; nobody is almost able to resist a hand-to-hand combat with one of them; they do not feel the fear nor the pain and between the more hurt they receive, they drive crazy of fury, increasing its devastating force.

They are not very good strategists; its ability of leadership consists of not backing down before the danger, and when advancing massacring enemies, they are an inspiration for the rest of the troops.

Between more time they survive a battle, its ability increases more and more, at the same time that its humanity is vanished. In its degree upper of being able, a Mountain Heart acquires the aspect, the power and the savagery of a jaguar.
