Thanks for the encouragement. I could use it. :)

Anyways, I finally just bit the bullet, and gave the halberdier the same outfit as the Royal Guard. The "sword and shield" vs "halberd" business should be sufficient differentiation.

Should have done this a long time ago.

Longbowman - I gave this guy a sort of chain/scale shirt, to help emphasize how he is generally better equipped than the bowman.

As it stands, it looks okay to my eyes, but if anyone can offer any ways in which it could be improved (preferably by an edit), please do.

Also, the revised Master Bowman is here for review as well:

I don't suppose you would consider editing the Master Bowman so that he isn't holding the knife/sword/dirk like that...
That pose has bothered me from the first time I saw it, literally. It's as if whoever did the original just wanted to show that he had a knife and allowed this to dominate the pose. The impression I get is of, "I'm a little archer, here is my bow and here is my blade."

Perhaps the knife could go on his hip or over the shoulder.
Just-a-suggestionâ„¢.

I would consider that. I do want to openly display the blade, since part of the point of this unit is that, like the elvish avenger, it's a fairly good melee unit.

However, the position can be changed to something less exhibitionary. Does this fix it for you, more or less?

Aye. That it does.
Looks more relaxed too, a good thing.

All frames for the Long and Master Bowmen are finished, with the exception of the idle animation, which I myself am going to finish for this guy before 1.2. I'll be doing that tomorrow, and committing shortly thereafter.

The rehash for the lieutenant line.

One of the things Neo really made clear in his edit of my first TC grand marshal is that the shields on the upper-level leaders push their design too far. They borrow it from the low-level units, but really need something completely different. Especially on the grand marshal, the "round shield with metal deflector in the middle" just doesn't work.

Neo's edit had a longer kite(?) shield with an embossed bird/angelic figure on the front. I've gone with his for the grand marshal, and made something similar for the general.

Have you considered to give the marshal line a face. so he stands a littleb it out from the faceless crowd? He looks good but he is the leader, so he could stand out a little.

And I still thing the pling rate on the level 3 units is to high.
It is not the exactly the rate it is more the bright color.

Lieutenant finished and committed. I've fixed the TC on the death animation that was in 1.2, and merged that to trunk.

Zebulon has given me finished versions of the Pikeman and Halberdier, I just have to double-check and commit them.
