Goodbye for now...

Post by Eleazar »

I just wanted to say something definite. I haven't been around much for the past few months, for various reasons. It looks like I won't be able to be around for the indefinite future. I have too much else I need to do. But this project is still important to me, I'll probably be back eventually.

Feel free to PM me if you want some files I've previewed but not committed-- I've lost track of which ones those are. But I have layered versions of tons of graphic files. I won't be checking the forums or IRC much (or at all) for the forseeable future.

Good luck to all of you still working on Wesnoth...

Farewell Jwb Jerk (what I originally thought your IRC name was)!

I wish you only the best, and hope to see you again, sometime.

And thanks for giving us the heads-up.

Some of you may have seen me at the freeciv or allacrost projects.

Besides the fact that these project are much more desperate for art, i think the main reason i haven't returned to active status here is that most of the things i'd like to do for Wesnoth don't yet have code to enable them. So please send me a PM, if one of the ideas i've promoted becomes a possibility. Like a terrain system that supports more terrains. Stuff i was into are listed on my wiki page.

I'll be sure to check out 1.2 when it comes out. :)

This thread seems to be appropriate for my declaration, that I'm out of free time for Wesnoth now. I've got so many simultaneous creative (but more temporary) projects and they take almost all my time now.

I'm still reading the art forums and PMs and some day in the (near?) future I will continue my work with the castles/icons/misc stuff. Until then, keep the project running.

I was away for a few months, but i'm more-or-less, back, as testified by a hundred posts or so, and a couple dozen commits.

Have fun, pekka, we'll save a few terrains for you to make...

What the heck...? Doh!

The dates confused me, I didn't realize this was a necro'd thread.
