Pictures don't register?

Post by Crimson_Conure »

Hi, I made a new thread in the off-topic section, and I tried to submit 7 images from imgur. They won't load and they appear to have that X box thing.

Is this because I have to be logged into my account for like 200 minutes or more? Or is it because the links are simply wrong? Here are the links I tried to paste.

Try changing http:// to https:// and see if that works.

Hey, in order to get the links to work you also need to use i.imgur.com and add the file extension (.png) to the end.

So instead of
[ img]https://imgur.com/d0gyoaS[/img]

you would do
[ img]http://i.imgur.com/d0gyoaS.png[/img]

(I added a space at the beginning so it would display the code) You can preview the post to see if the images show up. I'd also recommend putting the images in a spoiler since they're quite large.

Hope this helps!

Oh my god, thank you so much. Also yeah, putting the images in a spoiler is very smart.. The http -> https thing didn't seem to make a difference. Well, i'll try that now and come back to this thread to update whether it worked or not.

EDIT: It worked like a charm, therefore my problem is solved, and it worked with the spoilers too. Many thanks!

Also (you might know already) but instead of spoilers you can make sections: by writing (EDITED thanks to ravana)

Code: Select all

[section="YOUR_NAME"]YOUR_TEXT[/section]
The key is the quotation marks (") which i didn't realize when i first tried to create sections :mrgreen:

Hopefully this is helpful! :D
