The server is logging people out at random.

I keep getting logged out. Usually it's after just a couple minutes. I lose track of what posts are new, and it takes me several tries to post myself. I haven't made any changes on my end, so were there changes to the server? I have eight cookies from wesnoth.org. I tried clearing them and letting them regenerate, but that didn't make a difference. When I log in, I check the box labeled: "Log me on automatically each visit", but now it is always unchecked when I go back to the login screen. Firefox remembers my login and password on that screen, so I don't think it's the browser's fault. This all used to work fine. Does anyone know what else to try, or is the problem at the server's end?

Am I the only one this is happening to?

I've got the same problem too. Totally random, never know when I'm going to get logged out next. Maybe even before I finish a

I have the same problem as OP, since about at least half a year ago. Usually it's after a few hours, sometimes after even half an hour.

Since other people are having trouble, I know it's not on my end. This is something I'd like to see fixed. It's very frustrating.

It hasn't ever happened to me, so I can't know what could be wrong. :/ I've had automatic login enabled for years.

I've had this happen, but I think for me it's related to toggling Private Browsing. If I turn it on, I have to turn it off in order for me to still be logged in. (Probably has to do with the interaction of cookies or caches.)

The check box to automatically login has never seemed to work. And I've visited plenty of other phpBB web sites and not had any login issues. (I'll still be logged in a year later.)

atm, it works. But a while ago I had strange errors too
I got loged out when I didn't use wesnoth.org for a while and weren't able to log in again. I had to kill all wesnoth.org cookies to log in again. Happened two or three times.. (I'm not complaying it does work fine again)

The problem for me is that it happens after just a few minutes of logging on, e.g.:

Log on --> View unread posts --> Open thread(s) in new tabs --> Logged out.

Yes, automatic login is on, nothing with other websites and all that. Only with Wesnoth.org.

The problem is that when my really less than stellar internet connection goes AWOL from "3G" to GPRS, waiting for threads to load only to find out you've been logged out is repeatedly frustrating.

It's been set to never expire for long already.
