Good to see a post from you Doc. Are the headaches gone?

They're greatly reduced, but I'm still trying to limit my computer time while I recover.

Say, can I put you (or any other experienced player interested) to the task of giving the new Sablestone Delta and Hornshark Island some extensive 1v1 playtesting? I'm sure that both are more balanced than they've ever been, but my reduced playtime in recent weeks hasn't allowed for the same level of intensive playtesting that I like to do with the newer fixes.

Anyone interested in this "research" should send their reports to me via PM. 8)

An update of Den of Onis that I think most will find very pleasant. 8)

Missed being in 1.1.9 by a thread.

Yeah, but those instructions are intended for userdata maps. It will work, but you'll end up with two copies.

For Doc's maps here, the most appropriate way is to save them to: wesnoth/data/maps/multiplayer (the directory for official maps) then rename the file to match the one it is replacing, and don't forget to remove the ".txt" part at the end.

Updated maps

Post by Becephalus »

Here are updated versions of the following default maps:

Loris River
King of the Hill
Siege Castles
Waterloo Sunset
Merkwuerdiglieb

These are all fairly minor updates and will be included in the 1.2 relase.

Just wondering, is there an explanation behind the map name "Merkwuerdiglieb" - which mean, as far as I can figure out "strange love", as in Dr Strangelove?

I would also like to know why they called it Merwuerdigliebe. All I can tell is that it really means something similar to "strange love" in German.

It seems Silverhead Crossing has been getting a whole lot of play as of late. I should point out that it was altered quite a bit about 2 weeks ago, though I forgot to post that to this thread. Here is the latest version:

I stole this from Paterson's computer.

It seems like some sort of Charge update.
