That could work, the offending person could be silenced for 5 minutes (seems like a long enough punishment to me?).

It think there would have to be a way to store the punishment of the offender on the server. That way if they log out out of frustration or maddness ;) they would still be required to finish the silence time before that user name could continue to play "nice" with friends

There would also have to be update messages
"You are silenced for "bad behavor here". You must wait x minutes before you may resume player interaction."

Just some thoughts

I would be first in line for that.
I need at least ONE game to exist where "nOOb" is used soley as a joke.
Oh no look out its a ray gun.
You should move to avoid the rays
the rays are coming out of the gun
if you are hit by the rays
you will be shot by the rays
the rays are fast so you should be fast to
can you win against the fast rays from the gun?

This is an essential feature. If there are no mods, wesnoth multiplayer will be no fun when too much people will come and flood.

hopefully, either scott or dave are aware of this:
there's now a map made to spell out "gay men often enjoy butt sex"
and another that spells "kill french canadians" in fact, they are still there.

we seriously need MP mods, especially if this is to remain a child friendly game.

There is also some flooding of unfinished and useless campaigns on the campaign server.

I think that all requests for votes for a person to be silenced, and the effects of the silencing should be invisible to the victim (so that he doesn't know when to rejoin.)
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

I like that - got an ironic twist to it.

I'm not an admin or a developer. I just play one on the internet. No, j/k (about sentence 2, not sentence 1)

That does sound really serious though.

I have made a test implementation of an admin facility, and given Dragonking admin rights to begin with. He is able to ban obnoxious players from the server.
