I think it deserves its own thread:
Vision changes in 1.11 (vision= vision_costs=)

which can be used to make the vision sight independent from the movement of a unit.

It can for example be used to define a radar unit with low or even no movement but a huge sight range.

Together with it there is support for [vision_costs] in [movement_type], allowing different view than movement costs.
It can be used for example to define a unit which can see over deep water even if it is not possible to move the unit there.

Maybe the features are of value for modern combat?

On a side note, the current code base of modern combat involves the usage of the [teleport] tag which is no longer working
the way it had before 1.10.

Fabi

Are you still convinced that Modern Combat shouldn't have fog of the war? Because I am sure that it should.

Having fog of war means that certain things already in the game become less useful or completely useless, and it restricts what we can do involving abilities and whatnot which deny information.

Anyway, interest for this seems to have pretty much died off, so I'm working on something else right now which I hope to have a beta of today.

On one way that sounds sad but on the other hand new beta sounds cool.

Hi,

i'm not sure this is the proper thread to report issues with this add-on, however, I'm receiving an error message (screenshot attached) when trying to enter multiplayer server.
I'm on Wesnoth 1.10.2

Cheers

Did you download the latest version I have up on the server (Modern Combat Updated)?

Your forked the addon?
Is the last maintainer missing?

Ah ok, no I didn't see the new version.

I removed the 0.965 Modern Combat, and installed the Modern Combat Update!

thanks

Just came back from a long absence, and it's wonderful to see Modern Combat being fixed, with RR and a better transport system! :D
My only issue is the secret police not being able to conceal or teleport anymore, and capitalists (maybe some other leaders) disappearing from leaderpowers.txt.
I'll report other potential bugs as I play.
EDIT: the survivors of a chemical missile are not poisoned.
There might also be something wrong with leader earning power at different rates...

Everytime I start up a Local Multiplayer (To play with friends) I get this line of text and the "Default income and village gold" keeps popping up, if I click it enough then it crash saying "You have been defeated"

Guys. Can we keep this thread alive? This mod is awesome and I'm having issues experiencing it again. This mod really adds a new dynamic to battle for Wesnoth. Don't let it die.

Whenever I play the latest version on 1.10 I can't do anything after choosing income and turns of peace. I've tried right clicking all the villages but nothing happens.
