1.8.8 has nasty bug... do not use it. I fixed that in 1.8.9. Sry for broken release :P .

Links to all downloads and changelog are still valid.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the work, but at the moment it seems the 1.8.9 zip file cannot be downloaded. If it is possible, we would also appreciate a download possibility from the official addon server. ;)

The link for all downloads:

The link for tar.gz works, while the link for the zip-file seems to be broken...

I have downloaded 1.8.8 and followed the changelog/commits to reproduce the 1.8.9 zip file.
I have uploaded the usable 1.8.9 zip file to:

I will not tell you my corner / where threads don't get locked because of mostly no reason /
because I don't want your hostile disease / to spread all over the world.
I prefer that corner to remain hidden /

Hi, following the discussion here, but as it was a bit off-topic I'm continuing on this thread, I took some time and modified the Competitive Gaming add-on. I added 2 sets of map for random selection :
- 1 called 1v1 default with the good old default maps
- 1 called 1v1 selection (didnt find a better name) with the latter + Arcanclave Citadel, Elensefar Courtyard, Crescent Lake and Astral Port.

So it's not to say that the other maps are totally bad maps and should never be played, it's just because balance was questionnable in some of them, so that some players may not want to play them for ladder. In a way, it can give some time to Rigor or others to improve them without receiving complaints of imbalance ;).

very good job, both of you.

i suppose it might be a bit of a problem to have both the random mod we used so far AND your random map picker in use, so i deleted the competitive map addon in advance to avoid conflicts between the similar names.

its a good idea to have different colors for different mappacks as well. it helps to distinguish between the ones you want to play and the ones you want to avoid.

What's up with Eye of Tath, Northern Line, and that bunch? Are those actually legal, if players agree?

I've said this many times, but it is so often *maddening* to not be able to respond to statements made in ladder game comments.

1. They weren't even playing the update, but the old crazy version, and
2. It's UD/Knalgan, and you're going to lose that regardless of the map...
