@ZhuQ: As I've already told you via pm the procedure isn't that hard. Basically uncleshelby already told us what to do.

Options:
1) Compile from source.
2) Install with Rhonda's PPA. How to enable that repo, here. Then run sudo apt-get install wesnoth-1.9
3) Use less smilies. Wait, that's not one. Whoops.

Though, it seems like a little extended version (a GUI-heavy one ^^) might be needed here, so here's what to do:

1. Take a short look at RepositoriesUbuntu, especially the section "Adding Repositories in Ubuntu" and open your "Software Sources interface" (easiest via menu bar: "Ubuntu Software Center" > Edit Menu > "Software Sources".
   If you did everything correctly, you will see this.:

   
2. Click on the tab "Other Software" and leave that window open.
3. Check your Ubuntu version either by executing the command "lsb_release -a" in a Terminal or checking via "System > About Ubuntu" in your menu bar.
4. Now let your browser go to Rhonda's page.
5. Under "Adding this PPA to your system" click on "Technical details about this PPA".
6. Next to "Display sources.list entries for:" , choose the Ubuntu version you have installed (the one you found in 3.).
7. Copy the first line
8. Go back to the window with the "Other Software" tab opened (2.).
9. Click on "Add"
   Should look like this:

   
10. Paste the line you copied in 7. in there and hit "Add Source".
11. Repeat steps 7-10 with line two.
12. Close the "Software-Sources" window and select "Reload" to update the list.
13. Now go to your "Synaptic Package Manager" via "System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager" in your menu bar.
14. Search for "wesnoth 1.9" and install the data.
15. Be happy!

Ardelorezo lost after 12 turns. His slow woses just couldn't hold all the villages and although they were pretty dangerous and killed some of my units, his economic loses were too big.

Aww, too late for a fun tournament. Though I was surprised to see only *one* guy to take the ultimate HP/DMG pair, and it had to be Doc:

the easiest way is to personal PM your opponents rather then randomly hope you catch them on imo.
