And it is licensed under the CC0!
It could make a good addition to Wesnoth.

Re: Battle Theme A
I can hear something a lot like an electric guitar in the backgrounds, so I'd be surprised if this makes it into mainline. But you're right, it is pretty snazzy.
Re: Battle Theme A
Yeah, if not mainline, I think it could be definitely be useful for UMCs.goblinThing wrote:I can hear something a lot like an electric guitar in the backgrounds, so I'd be surprised if this makes it into mainline. But you're right, it is pretty snazzy.
Out of curiosity, is there a policy against mainlining music with electric guitar?
Re: Battle Theme A
More or less, yes: http://r.wesnoth.org/p283377Andrettin wrote:Out of curiosity, is there a policy against mainlining music with electric guitar?
What kind of music are you looking for?
We are mainly looking for orchestral music, i.e. a simulation of a contemporary large orchestra with strings, brass, winds and percussion. That means no drum kits, no electric guitars or basses or any other typical pop/rock instruments. Synths are OK if they are used for subtle effetcs within an overall orchestral context. Same goes for percussion loops; they will be tolerated if the're used tastefully.

Kinda sounds like music from the Dark Knight, but with more music.
I will now resume lurking silently.
