Re: Aleksi's Battle music for piano
Only the first minute is close to Shostakovitch. Listen to his first Symphony and you'll find rhythmical and harmonic similarities. But, of course, what i did is certainly not as good as what he did! *Bows to master...*Rain wrote:While the piece sounds very Russian, I didn't quite hear the Shostakovich at any given point, but no matter!
Edit: Actually, to be very precise, from 0:35 to 0:50 (maybe even to 1:10 in his early years).

Yes love it! Could you post the sheet music? That would be terrific!

How many Wesnoth pieces have been written down and posted somewhere? I feel there's a segment of the community that would be very interested in a sheet music repository for these tunes. If you get enough people playing these songs on their own pianos, a few newcomers might decide to write a song for the game with the current music serving as thematic inspiration.

Perfect. Somehow I imagine it to be an ideal fit for game credits

Alright, I haven't worked on this in a couple weeks I've been busy with other projects, but I will get a copy of it up as soon as possible.
