4 Themes completely finished

Post by Stosswelle »

check them at the artist site

ive had edited loopable oggs ready for almost 24 hours now but no one is taking them because even though we rushed to fit them into lsm and people seem to want them in right away, the developers dont want to put them in for fear of messing up the stable version

so you can see a new soundtrack in... 0.8.1 i guess

but anyway, listenable mp3s at the artist site, and have a nice day!

I absolutely don't like number 6, the beat enoyed me after 3 seconds of listening, now I'm at 60 seconds and I just have to turn it off.

Don't like theme 4 either, just my personal taste, others might enjoy it.

I like Theme 2, more atmosphere and easier to listen at.

Theme 3 sounds a bit synthetic (the bass) but I don't really care. It would go well with the undead campaign.

I don't have anything to say about theme 5, it sounds good.

About theme 1, where did you get that drum sound (I think it's timpani), I want it for my orc piece :D , nice one.

I'd go for numbers 1,2,3 and 5, nice work

Sorry, i wanted to give an advice sooner but i just forgot.
Here we go!

-Theme 4-

The melody is ok but the arrangement is very primitive. The drums don't really stick. I don't see myself playing with my warriors over this music. I don't know, i find the music a bit agressive...

-Theme 3-

Is Ok with me but only the very low note that comes towards the middle sometimes doesn't fit with the harmony...

-Theme 6-

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom! I don't know if this music really fits the game... Maybe the beat is a bit too agressive and rest of the sounds a bit too electronic.

-Theme 2-

I personnally don't like it. But it could maybe fit the game. I'll wait until more peple give their advice.

Cheers,

Aleksi.

It's been a while since this topic was posted, and .0.8.1 is a memory. Where are the .ogg forms of these tracks? I'd love to use them...even the criticized number 6. :>

Stoss departed the community some time ago. You might be able to use the info in his sig to track him down. Before you add any track to you campaign MAKE SURE you know the terms you are able to distribute it under (GPL). I'm not saying he'd have a problem with that, just make sure first.

What would be cool, would be instruments fitting to for example into this way:

orcish wardrums -
human "brass" drums (you know like those guys in reallife with their red cape... hitting on those small drums that they carry, using small wooden sticks, sounds really nice...)
skullbone drums (hehe no idea how that sounds but maybe someone has some bones at home
or anywhere and could record that :> )

and similar things
