Credits Music

Post by Aleksi »

Ok, i had this idea.
I was reading two days ago the thread in the Art section about the Dragons. Roel was suggesting heavy-metal music when the dragons appear. Why not, its not a bad idea...
Anyway, i was thinking about some music for the credits. I was thinking it could be fun having a touch of humour into it. I was imagining this scene where the names go by, some heavy-metal music and you'd have some characters from the game playing instruments. It would be a sort of party showing the hard work everybody has done until now for Wesnoth and a BIG party at the end... Of course, it would mean more work for the Art section, but i think it would be fun.

Anyway, the music is done. If you like the idea i'll post it.

Cheers,

Aleksi.

Heh. Very amusing.

Sadly, I don't think it would be too appropriate for the Wesnoth Credits. It would go great with some "Easter Egg" credits or something, but music might be a bit too big to be an Easter Egg.

Hum, i understand. But i was getting a bit tired about the symphonic style all the time... i had this burst of energy yesterday afternoon... i had to do something! :D
Anyway, i still like the idea of implementing something like this in the game. Maybe some sort of rock n' roll orcs we can meet during a mission... no?
Lets rock it baby!!!

I think there should be the campaign heroes playing instruments above all; as they're most unique.

Like Konrad with a microphone; Deflador beardbanging with a completely non-old-man instrument. and like gwiti being one of the smallest handling a bass-guitar, the k'eope a piaono.

Campaign heroes playing intruments. It would be really funny.

However it has been done before. Anyone remember the funny outtakes for Warcraft 3: the frozen throne? You see the undead hero, Arthas, at an rock concert jamming on a guitar. The outtakes were a great way to reward players who beat the game. Perhaps a similar humorous outtakes could be added to the end of "heir to the throne" ?

he has heavy armor. it would be funny to see him doing something that would be impossible with armor... or just plain silly. :)
