Sounds wanted

Post by fmunoz »

Currently the sounds effects in Wesnoth are files from the game Egoboo (Also under GPL) but as the game grows more sounds are needed.
Sounds when a unit is hurt:
- Elven male
- Elven Female
- Human Male
- Human Female
- Goblin (or small orc)
- Orc
- Gryphon/Eagle
- Generic monster
- Wolves
- Breaking bones for skeletons
And for any other unit... not include in any of that groups.

Sounds for attacks
- An ice wind sound for necromance/lich freezing magic
- Wolf attack
- Eirie Wails for ghosts and wraith

and death sounds too

Seems a bit long to me. Most of the sounds are under 1 second. So I compressed it with Audacity, after trimming the end off it...and while I was in there I reversed it and put in a little fade.

excellent wave editor, used it too :)

oops I now read it's supposed to be a hurt sound, the bird alone would suffice, I'll look into some more sounds tomorrow.

hurt wolf, howls cannot be fitted in 1 second, so I went with a growl.

Yeah, I think just the bird sound would be great.

I dont think that the bird sound is well suited to the gryphon.. maybe some kind of great eagle sound or simply a lion growl would be better
