Then both of the cards are displayed at large size at the left and right of the screen respectively. I had some confusion about what to do when I am satisfied with the result. I think it expected me to press "pass" but the pass button is only barely visible behind my card, and clicking on my card doesn't move it out of the way or anything. Eventually I learned that if I just press the left-most nub of the "pass" button then I can proceed. This might be specific to my screen resolution, which is ~ 1366 x 768.
Ahh okay. You should be able to click on the cards that are 'on the stack' (the name for when they are there waiting to play) and drag them to move them around if they obscure anything.

However of course the cards shouldn't obscure the 'Pass' button. I will test on your resolution and try to make sure they don't.
iceiceice wrote: I realized what it is -- it appears that I only get those prev and next buttons when creating a new deck, but I don't get them when I'm editing an old deck.

I think right click to remove a card is probably the simplest, like andrettin suggested, and I did definitely try that.
An alternative would be like, when you click on the card, a + and a - button appear next to the card count x/3.
Not a design expert personally :)
Yeah the prev/next buttons not appearing always was a bug, should be fixed now. Right-clicking will now remove cards!

Lands going out of game. Also, on first it doesnt allow me to use creature for no places for that, but there are.

Kings rider maneuver is not usable, that button moved around as units attack failed, but clicking it did nothing.

This one I have observed also. Here's a different way to explain it.

Before the combat phase, if a unit cannot advance because of being blocked for some reason, it does this "wiggle and bounce" animation to illustrate that it is impeded. The trouble is that if the unit has abilities that you want to use (like rider maneuver, or the Sacrifice ability of Dark Emissary), the "tool tip" that you use to activate the ability also participates in the wiggle and bounce. This makes it very hard to click on. Also, if you manage to hit it with a click while it is bouncing, it doesn't seem to work, but if you time the click for when it has reached the bottom of the bounce, it works normally. I think it would be better if the ability tooltips don't move like this.

I agree that being able to click on the moving abilities dialog shouldn't be a skill used in the game. ;) so I fixed it and made it stand still. However I will say the abilities selection dialog should probably be updated sooner or later to match the rest of the game.

I also pushed out a fix to the AI summoning lands in illegal locations.

So I made spells deck. Counterspell is really powerful, halts any single thing.

However I got http://puu.sh/gJM8N/d119bffc44.jpg and http://puu.sh/gJMbr/b1e271e0bd.jpg

I got the same error half an hour ago or so during the AI's turn. But the next time I played that same scenario nothing happened.

New missions seem ridiculously difficult. First one took 5 tries, second 8. Third one took only 3, that was quite straightforward, had to get correct hand only. Fourth one took most tries, but managed to win even that. That one took more planning too, had to use 2 creatures there, http://puu.sh/gKJvr/7791532e4d.jpg

These numbers might not be correct as they dont seem to count restarts, only times where I changed deck.

So third one is easiest, brute force works there.

First of all, thank you for the language selection menu in the installer!

Found some bugs:
  1. When logging in with an account that doesn't exist, I can't leave the login screen - ESC won't work. So, I had to ALT-Tab to the command line window to kill it.
  2. Only after starting the game again was the Anura update triggered. After the update finished, anura.exe crashed. The crash is permanent - I will need to see what happens after a system reboot. ETA: Still foobared after Windows reboot

Sorry for the problems, we did a big update and had some hiccups.

You can get new binaries now:

Windows: http://theargentlark.com/david/ArgentumAge-setup.exe
OSX: http://theargentlark.com/david/ArgentumAge-OSX.zip

I managed to start it now. 2 issues:

- The updater timeout is too short for a first run - had to kill it because I didn't have enough time to allow it through my firewall on Windows.

- It is too high for a 1366x768 screen.

I've been getting a segfault on Linux.

What is the preferred platform for bug reports for this, by the way?

What instructions did you follow to get it? Did you build anura yourself? Can you give a backtrace? Have you run with --auto-update-module ?

You can provide a backtrace by running,

gdb ./anura
run --module=citadel

Then when it crashes, type,

bt

Code: Select all

git clone https://github.com/anura-engine/anura.git anura-git
cd anura-git/
git checkout trunk
make
./anura --auto-update-module --module=citadel
I no longer get the seg fault, and instead get a different crash (ERROR: main.cpp:577 : unrecognized arg: '--bigscreen), regardless of whether or not I use --auto-update-module.
http://pastebin.com/JUhFjEeM

I also get this warning during the make process:

Code: Select all

./build/eris/loslib.o: In function `os_tmpname':
/home/john/anura-git/src/eris/loslib.cpp:108: warning: the use of `tmpnam' is dangerous, better use `mkstemp'

@johndh: okay it looks like you have some old files from a previous install or something lying around.

Try blowing away the contents of modules/citadel as well as /home/john/.citadel//dlc

Then run it with --auto-update-module
