Devana - open source browser based strategy game

Hello, there!

My name is Andrew. I'm an independent game developer and the creator of Devana, an open source browser based strategy game. More about it over here.
For some time now I've been working on recreating the game from scratch so that it will be more of an engine for browser games of this type. To make it easy for others to create their own games.
Anyway, I've contacted the guys over at 0AD to ask for their permission to use assets from the game (building screenshots). They were ok with it and also very nice about all of this.
That leaves me with unit assets. And here's where Battle for Wesnoth comes in.
Can I use unit assets from the game? I'm interested in portrait and small image representations like the ones for the bowman.
All third party assets used will be credited accordingly as per their source game licenses.

Hi, if you not get the desired response here, re post in art contribution.
That is where they usually discuss use of graphics in other games.
Basically it was OK as long as you realize it is not your own, mention Wesnoth and respect GPL.

Wesnoth and its assets are licensed as GPL. So, as long as you abide the terms of the license, sure.
