Whatever Happened to the app?

I wasn't sure where to ask this but it has come to my attention that the BfW iPhone app hasn't seen any updates for a long time and I was wondering if anything aims to be done about this or is the app dead?

AFAIK, this only depends on Kyle Poole, who created the app, and I don't think he has been seen a lot recently. Also, IIRC, someone (Kyle possibly?) said that the way the conversion for IOS had been done, it would be "impossible" to update the IOS version to keep it in sync with the current wesnoth version: one would have to redo the conversion totally from scratch if he wanted to have the most recent version of wesnoth on his ithing.
