Re: my pen and paper role playing game comments welcom
OpenOffice has the advantage of compatibility with both Microsoft and Open Source file extensions. The only reason I use Microsoft Office these days is because I've got a free version of MS Office 95. However with a bit of know-how (took me under a week to learn enough to write a proper document) LaTeX (pronounced: Lay-Tech) is the best for writing PDF documents. All free, mainly for UNIX, but there is a Microsoft compatible version called MikTeX.
Softly/SoftlySplinter on IRC. Will be lurking around more these days

Well, the OpenOffice download site says otherwise.Kalajel wrote:Yeah, that I wouldn't know; I've been looking for the version of OpenOffice that works on Mac OSX 10.3.9 (IIRC it's 2.1.0 or 2.2.0), and it's nowhere to be found on the internet…Thanatos wrote:Or - much cheaper - OpenOffice.

I in no way advocate torrenting it illegally it like I many others have done.
I actually deleted it after I found that there weren't enough custom tilesets out on the interwebs to suit me.

Hmm, well looks like version 2.4 works for me… Althoug I'm having problems starting it up; I'm currently looking at the FAQs and troubleshooting pages…Thanatos wrote:Well, the OpenOffice download site says otherwise.

Emphasis on simple, eh?
Alright. What do these elemental runes do? Do you have any plans for the setting? Economy? Political and social values? That sort of thing, done well, is the sign of a truly good tabletop rpg system.

Read This.
Now read this.
And if you really want to use the D6 system (not saying you shouldn't) give this a try.
