This was discussed again yesterday on irc -- you shouldn't expect us to move on it until 1.12 has been out for a while, until we have proper preparations in place for steam, until we have a new trailer made, etc. etc. Even then it still might be a long time for any number of reasons.

Huh, ok, I see it. Terrible misuse of an acronym, but than you for the explanation. As for the idea itself, seems like it could work.
