Do nothing option upon player drop.
If a player drops you get three options, lets say you know the player is coming back/your going to reload the game.
1. Set to AI:
If your going to get that player back in a bit, you don't want to set it to AI because then the AI would move the units which is a obvious problem.
2. Set control of that side to another player:
But then if its only people playing the game, they would see that players side, and in a fogged game, this can be a unfair advantage. On a similar note, shortly before the choice of what to do about the player that dropped, the player making the choice/host takes control, which causes them to temporarily see that players side.
3. Leave the game:
You can't save the game if you leave it,(yes I know one could use a autosave) and that just bounces the issue on to someone else.
This issue is similar to my wish of there being a option to change hosts here. The host system can be a bit clumsy. And it can be especially frustrating if a bunch of people leave at once when your host, but you don't want to leave just yet. Dismissing those windows can be a pain.
First idea:
The pop up option when someone leaves has a option of assigning a dummy AI that does nothing.
Perhaps when someone leaves, they default to a dummy AI, and a hotkey could pull up options of what to do with that side?
Would it be possible for those hosts making the choice about what happens to the side of a player that has left, doesn't gain control of that side first? Besides preventing spying on that side, it would help make the messages a little less confusing with who controls that side.

Re: Do nothing option upon player drop.
whats the point in you not looking at the leavers units when he/she will see your units when watching the replay. The fair solution would obviously be having the auto save ON and whoever leaves hosting the game from their save.
Re: Do nothing option upon player drop.
A hide replay option would be nice too.
If someone drops you sometimes need to discuss with others whether to reload or not, or at least be able to explain to others that you are reloading. But you can't speak when the drop window pops up.
