A video worth a thousand words :)

And I also wrote a few things about it.

What do you think?

When the text was flying onto the screen, were you just speeding up the video? If not....

So it generates all that?

Maybe I should have mentioned. The video was not edited in any way whatsoever :)

It just does that

I use fedora, and the sudo gem code doesn't work. Do you know if its possible to get it to run on fedora 8? I'd really like to be able to use it :)

Ugh, why is it embedded in an ActiveX control? It chokes my Firefox.

(Oh wait, it seems to choke under IE too. Bah.)

[EDIT] Okay, looked at the Youtube video. Seems nifty.

There is no activeX control (I see it under linux). This is just your system trying to display it with wmp or something :-/

I think fedora does not use sudo. Try this to run su and then the same command without sudo

My FF doesn't recognise the video format being used there - it refuses to play it and cannot find an appropriate plugin to do so. It seems like you've used some kind of linux-specific format.

But the youtube looks good, and this sort of thing seems like an excellent idea both in speeding up WML writing and in reducing errors. Definitely worth pursuing IMO.

Back to work. Current projects: Catching up on commits. Picking Meridia back up. Sprite animations, many and varied.

I used ogg and then converted to avi (and without sound)

Not certain what the problem is...
Still, that's why I put up a youtube version as well :)
