Broadcasting Ladder Games on Twitch.tv?
I just noticed, there are never Battle of Wesnoth games being broadcast on twitch.
What do you think? Is it a good idea?

Sure, I mean, it’s up to you people to do that.

Probably not, though a friend of mine broadcasted once a tournament and I see he has 96 views now.
For the record, my youtube tournament replay video got 900 views in 3 months.

As little people as that may be, it might attract people to play Wesnoth, that's what I think.ElderofZion wrote:Probably not, though a friend of mine broadcasted once a tournament and I see he has 96 views now.

It's not something I'd be able to do myself, but anything that draws more (positive) attention to Wesnoth is a good thing in my book

Re: Broadcasting Ladder Games on Twitch.tv?
Well, today I downloaded a streaming software. It turns out it is quite simple to stream a game live or upload video of a replay on Twitch, it just takes few minutes to get going. It does not seem to require particularly computer to stream, given the kind of game Wesnoth is.
I uploaded two replay videos of ARRPGA and broadcasted one replay of ARRPGA.
Given that people even watch old NES games playthroughs of Dragon Warrior live, most likely someone would be willing to watch streams of Isars, Colloseums, SX, Bob's RPG or any other streams of Wesnoth.
In any case anybody is curious how it is done, I just use a Twitch Account and OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) to stream, nothing else is required.
