may I say, I still don't have an avatar and I'm cool with it. Who needs those? It's not like they are a real picture of you anyway(in most cases)
Oh, I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?
Re: Where would one get sprite art made?
Avatars just make it easier to keep track of who's who, because our forgettable account names aren't always enough.Dunno wrote:may I say, I still don't have an avatar and I'm cool with it. Who needs those? It's not like they are a real picture of you anyway(in most cases)

I'm gonna break the lock to state this:FoxxiMoxxi wrote:That's awesome logic.Zerovirus wrote:Why people don't actually try to learn spriting instead of asking for sprites is beyond me.
I need a new refrigerator, while I'm in a learning mood. I should learn how to build one from scratch.
1] The likelihood of someone doing a sprite for you, for free, is nil, unless we're a real good friend of yours. It's much like larger drawings when someone else draws your OC - random strangers are very unlikely to do it, but friends are likely to. With 2 posts on this forum, you're unlikely to be friends with anyone here unless you've been lurking.
2] Given that, your only option is to pay for it, or make it yourself. It's a matter of how important spriting could be to you as a potential skill. In the case of anyone seriously thinking about making videogames, I would actually strongly suggest they do learn to do sprites, and to do art, on their own, because they're [censored] up a creek on any project they embark on if they can't provide such a necessary asset for a videogame. Artists are usually the bottleneck for free/indie projects.
But if you're just dabbling, then yes, it's obviously not worth it, and either you need to pay someone, or live without.
