Re: Where did you get your username from?
The person behind my name. Basically, I used to be good at thinking, and love strategy games. I didn't want to call myself Grand Admiral Thrawn, so I stuck w/ the shorter name. Everywhere else on the internet, I'm known as Viers, a name based off of the main character (Richard St. Viers) of a book entitled "Swordspoint" by Ellen Kushner.
...please remember that "IT'S" ALWAYS MEANS "IT IS" and "ITS" IS WHAT YOU USE TO INDICATE POSSESSION BY "IT".--scott
this goes for they're/their/there as well

Not to be confused with another officer of the Galactic Empire.Thrawn wrote:Everywhere else on the internet, I'm known as Viers, a name based off of the main character (Richard St. Viers) of a book entitled "Swordspoint" by Ellen Kushner.
It's spelled "definitely", not "definately". "Defiantly" is a different word entirely.

I always thought that avatar had something to do with Star-Trek.Thrawn wrote:The person behind my name. Basically, I used to be good at thinking, and love strategy games. Good ole' Radament was the creepy mummy in the sewers of Lut Gholein, from Diablo 2.

Me too. Maybe it was the saurians in his avatar? XDRadament wrote:I always thought that avatar had something to do with Star-Trek.Thrawn wrote:The person behind my name. If I wasn't Midnight_Carnival (and Grey_Area), I'd probably have called myself "Awisemanonce" -just to see people quote me:

...apparenly we can't go with it or something.

Shoulda added spaces. Looks kinda bad without spaces.Midnight_Carnival wrote:If I wasn't Midnight_Carnival (and Grey_Area), I'd probably have called myself "Awisemanonce" -just to see people quote me:
(Unless phpBB doesn't support spaces, in which case, underscores pls)

Re: Where did you get your username from?
I got my username from:
1. I was from boyhood (7-10 yrs) drawn to the "Darth Vader" character in Star Wars, who was a Sith Lord
2. And I liked Knights and Dragons, as I had watched a lot of movies or read a lot of books about them.
3. One time I read a book called "Knightmare" and I liked the name.
4. When I was a child, I always dreamt of being a dark lord ruling over an entire continent
5. When I first signed from the forums I found out that "Knightmare" was taken, so I named myself "Lord-Knightmare"

phpBB supports whitespace in usernames. wesnothd doesn't. Hence, we use underscores here since...since some date.Zarel wrote:(Unless phpBB doesn't support spaces, in which case, underscores pls)

I'm not really around any more, but you can find me in TvTropes.
Re: Where did you get your username from?
You probably joined before I changed the username validation rules. Naturally, old accounts wouldn't be automatically fixed for various reasons.
Only characters from the A-Z, a-z, 0-9 ranges, and underscores and dashes, are allowed since then.

Re: Where did you get your username from?
Terakay is the main character of a fantasy novel I'm working on, and 273 is my favorite number (I have no idea why).
