Wesnoth 0.1 isn't anywhere.

I need Wesnoth 0.1(or whatever the original release for mac was). I will be experimenting with the game engine but I can not find the download. If you have ay links(or even an ancient copy) please post here.

I looked on sourceforge but I couldn’t find versions older than 0.7.11. I also searched github, but I couldn’t find anything older than 0.4.8. Is 0.1 still available somewhere? I’d like to look into how the game evolved since those times.

Thank you, though these do not seem to work the blog post was extremely interesting and served as a good insight into Wnesoth history. This included most of wagt I really wanted from the game, and another two blog posts were made relating to Wesnoth 0.2 and 0.3.

The Windows binary for version 0.1 still works for me (running Windows 10).

I haven't tried compiling the source code.

Still does not work, though I have gotten 0.9.7 to work and I might try to play the The Dark Hordes, which sounds interesting as a campaign. By the way, why aren’t these on sourceforge? Thank you.

Note that there's a version of The Dark Hordes on the 1.16 add-ons server - that is probably more fun to actually play than the 0.9.7 version of Wesnoth.

By the way, why aren’t these on sourceforge?

I'm not certain, but it's likely that Wesnoth did not start using SourceForge until version 0.7.11 and nobody migrated all the older versions.
