I kinda thought that at first, too, but she joined on december 27, 2009. It'd be a bit far fetched to have planned the appearance of that thread so long before.Hulavuta wrote:Well if she hasn't posted a lot, it could possibly mean that the only reason she joined was to change the odds.

This is just the first thread worth posting in.

I lurked for some time before I decided to register. I decided to register so I could post in one of the Hurt and Heal threads last year. So, I could totally understand waiting for something fun to post in.

@Icarusvogel: a poll could pop up the next time you log in, if you don't answer it then you automatically get logged out until you answer it

I was (trying) to be sarcastic, though it seems that the sarcasm didn't transfer very well over the internet.

Re: A Hopefully Non-Sexist Survey
Not a bad idea, but I think there should be an option called "Skip Poll" involved. Of course, the poll should also be made open for people who are not forum members, but to anyone who visits wesboth.org.Pentarctagon wrote:@Icarusvogel: a poll could pop up the next time you log in, if you don't answer it then you automatically get logged out until you answer it

You, Sir, have made my day with this typo in exactly this topic. Please leave it as it is.Icarusvogel wrote:wesboth.org.

And I think you might also have the same issue I have, whereby I can say something utterly outlandish and be completely serious about it. Then then I would sarcastically say something equally outlandish, and do so with a straight face... (Although in such cases I'm usually deliberately obfuscating my sarcasm.)Pentarctagon wrote:I was (trying) to be sarcastic, though it seems that the sarcasm didn't transfer very well over the internet.

Re: A Hopefully Non-Sexist Survey
*gulp* OK, then. What a typing mistake to make. Not writing "Wesnoth" correctly in the Wesnoth forums is, well, um, the worst thing that could happen to be.HomerJ wrote:You, Sir, have made my day with this typo in exactly this topic. Please leave it as it is.Icarusvogel wrote:wesboth.org.

Re: A Hopefully Non-Sexist Survey
I think it's also related to the name reading "both", possibly interpretable as "wesnoth for both genders", in precisely a poll-thread about genders (where most are guys, might I add)

IVogel, don't take it as an insult, typos happen and if they are fun... besides Dixie really hit the spot.

For reference, the term was "gender" and not "sex"
So perhaps we have other people who are biologically female but transgender!

I suspected that someone would come up with that question since day zero.
In such case those should choose the gender they feel actually identified with.

You can see more female users on this thread: http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13153
On one of zookeeper's pictures (with bananas), he looks like female, but I think he did it in purpose. (well taken)
I can recognize 3 to 4 more users who are female, but I do not think it is a big deal.
