Another point. Pepsi and Coke do not taste the same either.

I love energy drinks. Gatorade and Powerade are the best.

Fun Fact: My computer acknowledges "Gatorade" as a word, but not "Powerade"

Same here, but isn't that actually just our browsers' spell checkers?

Look, if this is going to turn into the great Coke vs Pepsi debate I will take no responsibility for the quality of the stuff I post :lol2: We all know how that will end.

By the way, I love Dr. Pepper. However I like Root Beer more and it tastes nothing the same.
+1 for Dr. Pepper

Not so common here in Germany. Root Beer on the other hand... :? :augh:

I don't understand the whole Coca/Pepsi dualism.

I think
* Coca Cola (both regular and all the variants)
* Pepsi (both regular and all the variants)
* RC Cola
all taste exactly the same.

There was something called Classic Cola that tasted slightly differently (it was a lot cheaper than the others, too).

I reckon people like t think that coke and pepsi taste a lot different just to sound clever and have a reason to buy one and not the other.
Stupid but true.

I don't think they taste a lot different, but:

A fun test for someone who does think they're way different is to put two cups in front of them, one with coke and the other with pepsi, and see if they can tell them apart.

I can't, but I still just think Pepsi is.... better. Somehow. :P

Well, I can,t say for Dr Pepper and Root Beer, as I've never had either one of them, but I can say pepsi and coke do have some differences, although they're mostly alike. I think pepsi, on average, tends to be more carbonhydrated (more bubbles) and maybe has more sugar. But I can't say I prefer any of them, doesn't matter to me. In most cases, I'd rather have a glass of water. Or a beer on "special" days.

Interesting. I think their tastes are distinct, though obviously of a similar type. I don't think I'd have any trouble with this test (though who knows, I might be surprised). Though anybody who says one is awesome and the other one trash is going much further than I can see justification for. I have extended family who are "coke fans", but that is mostly just for fun, and for the fact that it is easier to find Coke in glass bottles.

Root Beer and Dr. Pepper, on the other hand, are very different.

Pepsi and Coke have only tiny differences. Therefore one can have a preference over another, but they can't really hate one.

Heck, even Coke from a bottle taste different than Coke from a can, not to mention the thing they sell in self-serve restaurants (or restaurants) where it is mixed from the concentrated syrup and carbonated water.

Actually even bottled water of different brands tastes clearly different, anybody who has the chance can try that with the brands Vittel, Volvic and Geroldsteiner.

Yeh, that's what I figured. :P

I wish we had awesome brand names like that, instead of stupid Aquafina. Volvic is such a cool name.... :D
