Hmm, I don't know… read and decide…

As for me… Hmm, hard to say. I have an soft spot for old spaghetti westerns and samurai cinema, but I guess my favorite movie for now would be Dogma. There's so much going on in this movie. Obvious humor and subtle jokes with the plus of poking fun at Christianity. Two thumbs up from me!

That's quite a broad spectrum, are there at least a few that you have heard this about?

I did. I had heard this from several friends, but I had forgotten the names of most, seeing as how they were foreign names and easy to forget at that.

Yes. :D IIRC their first movie was Flywheel. Then they made Facing the Giants (which was later translated into 13 languages and watched far and wide), and then Fireproof. All the movies were largely based on volunteer work; I'm not sure about Flywheel and FtG, but in Fireproof the only people who were paid were the two main actors, Kirk Cameron and Erin Bethea.
Fireproof was also really, really well done - I strongly recommend it! :D

What movies was that the beginning to? I specifically remember that line being the start up to a movie. If memory serves me correct, I believe it was "The Perfect Sleep"?

H'm....I'm not sure. It might have been "Come What May", but I've seen neither it nor "The Perfect Sleep" yet. I personally found it while reading the Bible. :D

So, I checked Fireproof out (been meaning to for a while) and here's the message I took home from it: Unless you become a good Christian, you'll be an ass to your wife.

I find that pretty offensive.

I'm kind of out of touch with contemporary movies, the last one I saw at the cinema was the Transformers movie. I was expecting it to be really bad, but actually I enjoyed it a lot!

I think part of that was due to the big screen + big sound of the cinema. Kind of like you go to see thrashmetal live and then listen to it at home on your soft and bassless pc speakers. I doubt renting the dvd of transformers would have the same effect.

I am interested in movies where an actor plays apart that is in a genre other than what he normally acts in, like the joker in batman. Ok, Jonny Depp doesn't count, because he just doesn't, and I don't want to speak about it. Other than that, can you reccomend any to me.

Also lately I have become fixated with Tony Jaa movies such as The Protector. I didn't see Ong Bak yet, but I want to. Similar eastern, but not Chinese or Jappanese martial arts movies interest me, I greatly enjoyed Bang Rajan. The whole indominatable village thing, kind of like a mixture of Braveheart and Asterix. I especially like the ending
Spoiler:
It is for fun.
...apparenly we can't go with it or something.

Ninja Terminator.

The director just cut-and-pasted together 2 films, one with ninjas, made by himself, & the other with kungfu, made by someone else apparently. The kungfu part is boring & terrible, but the ninja part is grand - this is probably the best scene.

No, that's not it. It's saying that God is the only solution if you realise that you have a problem. Caleb was being such a jerk partly because he was addicted to porn, and partly because he'd lost sight of what marriage really is about. It never says that you _can't_ be a good husband if you're not a Christian, it's just saying that being a Christian makes it possible to be selfless.
You may not agree, but I never saw it as openly attacking non-Christians or insulting them as people. It certainly didn't say that being an atheist is the way to go, or alright to be, but that's because Christians don't believe that.

I think with these totally arbitrary statements you actually make it worse.
Ken_Oh is absolutely right: That's really offensive.
